Pneumatic
Control Systems
Bosch Rexroth Made their first automated pneumatic propulsion control systems in 1943 (they were then known as WABCO, Westinghouse Airbrake Company) and they continue to produce both Pneumatic and Electronic Marine Propulsion Control Systems today. Pneumatic Control Systems are ideal for applications that require a high degree of flexibility while still maintaining a high-degree of serviceability by end users. With Pneumatic Controls It is possible to manage material condition of the system to a far greater degree then any other automated Marine Propulsion Control technology. Right now all over the world Pneumatic Propulsion Control Systems that are 30 to 50 years old are on the job. NOTE: Some of the PDF links below are quite large! a PDF reader is required. Mechanical
Control Systems
33 years after the first SEM mechanical application went into service we have stopped selling new fully mechanical control systems. Installations of SEM controls that have been in service for over 30 years are common and we intend to support the installed base well into the future. The last shipment of castings has been inspected and all mechanical product has now been reconfigured for low volume production. No tooling will be "lost". Strong support for mechanical positioning in the Marex SB and Marex OS2 and trade-in allowance for existing SEM control equipment makes upgrading to the next generation worth considering. |
